We’ve Gone Live
Since the January launch of the Gateway Region's redesigned and revamped website, the average number of daily hits has more than doubled.

The functionality of the website gives the Region a leg-up on competition for new companies, while providing local business with key data,” Virginia’s Gateway Region President Charles E. Townes, Sr., said. “The site’s design is cutting edge with the Region’s latest news, an interactive site location center and the capacity to build customized reports.”

The launch of the Gateway Region’s new site comes at a time of increased activity for the regional economic development organization. In recent months, VGR has announced $10,000,000 in investment and nearly 600 new jobs for the five county, three city region.

“We are being creative with our marketing approach to offer world-class service to our business prospects and the communities we serve,” C. Renee Wyatt, Virginia’s Gateway Region Executive Director said. “Virginia’s Gateway Region Economic Development Organization is striving to make site location and data analysis easier for potential companies looking for a pro-business location and provide current resource information for our existing industries.”

The new website is a component of our aggressive marketing strategy that we are particularly excited to share with the Region. We’ve worked hard to develop a site that is relevant to everyone who desires to conduct business in the Gateway Region.”

Virginia’s Gateway Region exists to enhance the economic development opportunities for the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg, and the counties of Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Prince George, Surry and Sussex.  The Gateway Region is a private, nonprofit economic development organization that is publicly and privately funded to facilitate new business opportunities, work with existing businesses, advance resources that will enhance the economic viability of the region and foster regional cooperation among the public and private entities that are involved in economic development activities.
