Location
Prince George County is centrally located in southeastern Virginia.  The 276 square mile county is bordered on the north by the James River and the west by the Appomattox River.   The cities of Petersburg and Colonial Heights constitute the southwest border and Hopewell forms the northeast border.  Prince George County is ideally situated on Interstates 95 and 295.  The county provides ready access to all major East Coast and Sunbelt markets.

Prince George County is 25 miles southeast of Richmond and 125 miles south of Washington, D.C.  The Port of Hampton Roads is 90 miles southeast.
