How the Army's New Expansion Can Benefit Your Company
As mentioned earlier, the U.S. Army has decided to shift more than 20,000 active personnel to Fort Lee, which already serves as its worldwide logistics headquarters. Those personnel will need housing, supplies, appliances, clothes, other goods, and entertainment. Where will they look for it? Like most people new to an area, they’ll look locally, of course.
Those 20,000 won’t be alone, though. They’ll be joined by nearly 2,000 new civilian employees and contractors. They’ll bring thousands of spouses, children, parents, and other family members, all with the same questions.
For everyone involved in the retail industry, this represents an opportunity: retailers have an opportunity to flourish in a fast-growing area, while developers have the opportunity to create high-demand, profitable properties.
