Demographics

Virginia’s Gateway Region encompasses 8 communities totalling more than 2,400 square miles and approaching 500,000 population. It forms the southern half of Richmond-Petersburg metropolitan area, with more than 75 percent of population of working age. The region has access to a plentiful and experienced workforce of more than 720,000 within a 45-minute radius.
