Shopping - Colonial HeightsThe region’s central shopping center is Southpark Mall, located at 230 Southpark Circle in the City of Colonial Heights. Southpark Mall has easy access via two exits from Interstate 95.

Additional major retail centers are located in Chesterfield County and other small-scale shopping is available throughout the Gateway Region.

Richmond is less than a 30 minute drive away with shopping districts like Carytown and numerous additional shopping centers and malls. The Williamsburg Premium Outlets are only a ferry ride away from Surry.

Chesterfield County

Chesterfield Towne Center and Westchester Commons are the main retail hubs in Chesterfield County, where you can find anything under the sun from gourmet foods at Fresh Market, to home accessories at HomeGoods, to major retailers like Macy’s, Bandolino, Kohl’s and Ann Taylor Loft.

The City of Colonial Heights

The retail hub of the Tri-Cities, Colonial Heights boasts some of the biggest sales numbers on the East Coast at Southpark Mall and its surrounding retailers, which include Michael’s, Target, Old Navy, Marshalls and more. Southpark Mall is located at 230 Southpark Circle, and is easily accessed via two exits from Interstate 95.

The Boulevard (Route 1/ Route301) is a north-south retail corridor that forms the spine of Colonial Heights. You'll find all manner of food stores, banks, restaurants and local shops along The Boulevard. 

Dinwiddie County

A short drive off of Interstate 95 or Interstate 85 will get you to Southpark Mall and major chain retailers and restaurants in Colonial Heights. Drive just another 15 to 30 minutes, and you have access to much of the Richmond-Petersburg shopping and service area.

The City of Hopewell

Designated a Virginia Main Street community in 2011, Hopewell Downtown Partnership is leading a revival in independent retail at Hopewell's historic center. After browsing the shops, walk down to the waterfront at City Point Marina to find your next boat at Jordan Point Sales.

The City of Petersburg

If you are an antique collector or love boutiques, then Old Towne Petersburg is a must. Oak Antique Mall, Old Towne Marketplace and Petersburg Pickers are just a few of the many reasons you need to shop here, with everything in walking distance.

While you're at it, visit the Old Towne Farmer’s Market on Saturdays (on River Street near the Visitors Center) or relax with a cigar at Old Dominion Cigar Company.

Prince George County

Prince George County is situated just 10 minutes from Southpark Mall via Interstate 95 or Virginia State Route 36.

Prince George County has a brand new Lowes and a Harley Davidson dealership to explore.

There is also a county Farmers’ Market May through October at Scott Pavilion Park.

Surry County

Just a 30-minute ferry ride will put you the midst of three major upscale retail destinations.

Sussex County

One of the unique local shops in Sussex is the Virginia Diner Peanut Shop at 408 County Drive North (U.S. Route 460) in Wakefield, VA. A 30-minute drive from U.S. Route 460 or Interstate 95 will take you to the retail hub of the Tri-Cities: Southpark Mall.
