Poplar Grove National Cemetery

Established in 1868, the Poplar Grove National Cemetery honors the fallen Union troops during both the Petersburg and Appomattox campaigns. Open from sunrise to sunset and free of admission, the cemetery reflects the tragedy that befell our nation during the war as well as the opportunity to see first hand the human cost of war.
