Prince George Electric Cooperative

The Prince George Electric Cooperative provides electric utility services in Prince George, Sussex, Surry, Dinwiddie, Southampton and Isle of Wight counties. They are longtime supporters of economic development, working with developers of business parks and helping to locate new industry. In the last 15 years, PGEC have found that an unique advantage in helping new industry design and size their electric distribution facilities to fit their needs rather than over building un-needed plants that would result in higher initial cost and higher operating cost over the life of the plant. Their staff works well with both domestic and international companies. Because their customers are also member owners of the cooperative, their goal is to help prospective businesses locate with the best combination of installation cost and operating electric rates.
